“Warning Sri Lanka that conflict could return unless it addresses the grievances of  minority Tamils, the US said it would renew its "consideration of all mechanisms available" against the country over the human rights issue.”

US Ambassador Michele Sison said Monday Apr 9, 2013 night that “important steps in achieving real reconciliation” had not even begun since Colombo declared an end to decades of separatist war in May 2009.

Indian political parties were on a fact finding mission to the island, meeting various Tamil political, civil society, chamber of commerce and former civil members in Jaffna.

said on 10th April 2013 Wednesday under the aegis of the Indian High Commission and the

Minister says “Never Accept Geneva Resolution”
“On 10
th April 2013, G.L. Peiris SL External Affairs Minister told that Government did not concur with the US-sponsored resolution adopted at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) sessions on March 22. This resolution cannot be accepted as a result.” “Soon after the war ended in 2009, the High Commissioner Navi Pillay called for an international investigation. In her report, she reaffirmed her position. We reject it,” G.L. Peiris said. “Sri Lanka cannot acquiesce with the resolution adopted. First and foremost among the reasons for such a decision is that the resolution calls for an oral update on Sri Lanka at the 24th session in September this year, and a comprehensive report at the 25th session in 2014.” “It means Sri Lanka will figure on the UN agenda every six months. When we survey the global situation, Sri Lanka is not a country with a troubling situation in the world. The proportionality of this resolution cannot be accepted as a result,” G.L. Peiris said.
On 10
th April 2013 G. L. Peris contradicted the UNHRC resolution. Sri Lanka will never demilitarize or implement the resolution tabled by US on 21 st March 2013 at the 22nd session of the UNHRC in the North and East of Sri Lanka. In 2012 at the 21
st
session SL accepted to implement LLRC recommendation and
submitted report at UNHRC. One year passed SL didn’t implement anything.
Now UN tabled a resolution at the 22
nd
session in 2013 and passed it. Even after
that Sri Lanka have increased military camps and HSZ in North and East and SL
commander admits converting HSZ into permanent Sinhala Military Zone (SMZ).
SL Forest Department using new tactics to prevent Tamils from re-settlement in their
own homes and land by lets loose a number of wild elephants brought in from Sinhala
areas on resettled Tamils in Ampaa'rai claim lives of Tamils in Batticaloa
Sri Lankan Forest Department, in recent weeks, willfully brought in a number of wild elephants
from Sinhala areas into the jungles adjacent to Koa'ra'laip-pattu a Tamil area South Division of
the Batticaloa district, where uprooted Tamil people have re-settled after the end of war.
The Divisional Secretary of Koa'ra'laippattu South, Batticaloa Mr Thanabalasundaram, admitted
that two Tamil civilians have been killed by elephants. The lives and the livelihood of 3,000
Tamil villagers are threatened by the presence of more than 50 wild elephants brought in by the
Sinhala forest department.
Wild elephants in large numbers are systematically driven into villages where Tamils
predominantly live in the Ampaa'rai district by a section of Sinhalese connected to the Sri
Lankan Forest Department, presumably to prevent the uprooted Eelam Tamils from returning
and resettling in their places of origin, sources in Ampaa'rai said.
The Colombo government that exploits the poverty status of these people, while not providing
them with the basic amenities, sponsors Sinhala colonisation schemes that also include
settlement of SL military men in the area. So far, after 2009, seven new Sri Lanka Army camps
have been established in Ampaa'rai district to elivate the colonisation scheme.
Two innocent men, one in Punanai West, and a young boy in Kudumpimalai have been killed by
the elephants and many got injured in addition to loss of properties, according to the Divisional
Secretary Mr Thanabalasundaram.
The cultivation by the Tamil villagers includes various plantains, jams and vegetables. The
elephants have also caused extensive damage to the coconut trees and mango trees in the
villages.
Similar rampages by elephants are also reported in Aayiththiyamalai village in Vavu'natheevu of
Batticaloa district.
The wild elephants brought in by the SL forest department in Kudumpimalai, Aththikaaddu-veddai, Thikili-vadduvaan and Meeraan-ku'lam villages have chains around
their necks and a yellow identification tag fixed to their ears, the villagers, who have
witnessed SL forest department officials bringing in wild elephants using heavy vehicles
with security to provided to them by the occupying SL military.
Despite, their complaints to the Divisional Secretary of Koa'ra'laippattu South and to the SL
Forest Department officials in Batticaloa district, the practice of bringing in more wild elephants into the jungles near their villages is continuing, the villagers complain.
The reports of wild elephants of SL Forest Department going amok on Tamils in Batticaloa
comes following the reports of similar attacks reported last month in Ampaa'rai district.
Last year, people in Mullaiththeevu district of Vanni clashed with the occupying SL military for
defending the SL Forest Department officials who were bringing in wild elephants from the
South into the jungles of Vanni causing immense destruction to their agriculture in addition to
the threat of life.
Sri Lanka’s military commander occupying Jaffna, Maj. Gen. Mahinda Hathurusinghe,
openly admitted to media in Jaffna that the so-called High Security Zone of Valikaamam
on the Northern coast of Jaffna Peninsula, occupied and displaced of its Tamil
inhabitants in the guise of High Security Zone (HSZ) two decades ago, will now be
converted into a permanent Sri Lanka/ Sinhala Military Zone (SMZ).
Meanwhile, Mayiliddi, the only fishing harbour of the Eelam Tamils in the northern
coast that had facilities for long-stay fishing in the seas is not anymore belong to Tamils.
With the open declaration of the Sinhala military on the creation of SMZ and Mayiliddi coming under it, the
Mayiliddi fishermen are now asked to move to Tho’ndaimaanaa’ru, which according to the fishermen is not as
suitable as the Mayiliddi coast.
SL military demolishes Hundreds of Tamil houses in Jaffna ‘HSZ’. Sri Lanka military occupying Jaffna
has started demolishing hundreds of houses of Eelam Tamils in the stretch of land at Valikaamam that
was occupied by the Sinhala military in the guise of ‘High Security Zone (HSZ)’ two decades back.
What do US, Britain and west think about the Sinhala Military decleration and Tamils fragmentary
situation without a permanent solution to the ethnic problem? Definitely worried, confused and
mystified!
Under This Prevailing Situation How Can The Tamils Live Peacefully With The
Sinhalese Integrated Within United Sri Lanka?
What Action The US, Britain And Western Leaders Are Going To Take To Help The
Tamils from This Undemocratic Tyrannical unfair Sri Lankan actions?
Srilankan Government's main purpose in obtaining time from UN in 2012 and again in
March 2013 is to create Srilanka a Sinhala only Nation by changing the demographic
identity of the North and East.
Sri Lankan army and navy who were in the highly security zones are not allowing any of the Tamils to go back to
their own houses. SL Army is newly erecting or building concrete posts to put up barbed wire fences to
strengthen those areas. This clearly shows that the Sinhalese and the Sinhala government is very firm in
not implementing any of the recommendations accepted by SL or tabled by the US on 21
st March 2013
at 22
nd
session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. Further ……….
Now, these HSZ areas are contrived and used by Sinhala military for cultivation of vegetable and other fruits like
grapes, lime, mangoes for sale by Sinhala military intelligence, who are now appointed in small vegetable shops
and tea tuck-shops, which are setup to replace the Army check points at every main junction in Jaffna and Vanni
areas.
This is to hoodwink the UN and western world including British politicians to establish that SL Army have
reduced the army check points in the civilian areas.
But, actually these army check points are replaced by vegetable shops and
tea tuck-shops to monitor Tamils daily movements, activities and to keep
them under fear of the military control.
The war is over, proclaims everyone, including the USA and India. The Tamil public righteously
expected the return of their houses and ancestral properties if the war was over. There was propaganda that resettlement takes place stage by stage in the HSZ, which was also endorsed by all the
Establishments in complicity.
Then how, with whose authority the decision has been taken now to raze down the ancestral houses of
Eelam Tamils in the so-called HSZ, ask the concerned people up-rooted for more than two decades
and finally lost everything to the designs of the genocidal partners.
Tamils are fighting and will continue to fight until the last Tamil is alive for
their lost rights to live in peace, dignity and self-determination in their own
homeland which existed for several thousands of years. Past history will give
evidence and conformation. Every world leaders who try to suppress should
know that Tamils have the right to fight for national self-determination.
Sri Lankan Sinhalese can't create a "Sinhala only Nation” in the Tamil's
traditional Homeland, they can create it in their own land, and allow the
Tamils to live in peace with dignity in our own home land.
TAMIL COMMUNITY CAN’T LIVE UNITE WITH SINHALESE ANY MORE, SO,
SEPERATION IS THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THE TAMILS OF EELAM.
Tamils of Eelam wants a feasible remedy to what has happened and what are happening now?
Tamils kind request to implement the following and finally hold the referendum
1. “This resolution expresses its revulsion over the dreadful atrocities being committed by the Sri Lankan
Government against the Tamil Minority in Sri Lanka and demands that Sri Lanka should ceases forthwith its
unlawful harassment of Tamils, seizure of their properties, businesses and schools and respects the Human
Rights of this minority
2. “It also calls on the international community through the United Nations to impose economic and diplomatic
sanctions against the Sri Lankan Government and follow this with instructions to the International Court of
Justice to investigate crimes against the Tamil minority during the last phase of the war and to bring charges
against the perpetrators of these crimes
3. “We also call on the Commonwealth Secretariat to examine the charges of Anti-Tamil atrocities against the
Tamil Minority. In this regard we urge The British Government, an influential member of the Commonwealth to
abandon its policy of “neutrality” and ask the Sri Lankan Government to respect the Human Rights of
minorities.
4. “The occupying Sri Lankan armed forces in Tamil’s traditional areas should be withdrawn according to LLRC
acceptance and freedom of expression, assembly, religion and press be restored to all people across ethnic,
religious, and political boundaries.
Referendum for Tamils
“We urge US, the European Union and The British government to support a Referendum in the North and
East of Srilanka, similar to South Sudan, Kosovo, or East Timor to gain independence and to find out whether the
Tamils want to live united with Sinhalese or to go free and live separately in their own home land
“Tamil Eelam”.
Note:- Tamils only to vote within Sri Lanka and outside Sri Lanka where the Tamils are living, on the pattern of
the South Sudan, Kosovo, or East Timor. Sri Lanka has endured more than a six decades long civil war in which
the government persecuted and victimised a powerless minority. Like the southern Sudanese, Kosovars, or East
Timor Sri Lankan Tamils need a sovereign homeland in which they can be safe and free”.

Standing Order 23(2) – proviso: Notice of question relating to matter of urgent public importance – to be made on 9^th April 2013
I wish to make a statement on a most grave issue of national concern, relating to the safety, security and wellbeing of the Muslim people of this island. The Muslim people have been historical inhabitants of this island, and have contributed immensely to its development for many centuries. They have their own unique customs and traditions; food and dress; and are devout adherents of a very great religion. As the cultural benefactors of the Islamic Golden Age which spanned the 8^th to the 13^th centuries, the Muslim people of Sri Lanka have scaled the heights of the whole range of human endeavour – from art and music, to medicine and law, and science, enterprise, academics and so on.
Today however, the purveyors of hate are unleashing a bitter and spiteful campaign against the Muslim people. I do not need to recount the many acts of mob violence that have taken place in the last few months. Muslim women who choose to wear conservative religious dress have been molested and abused by strangers in broad daylight. Today the Muslim people are fearful; anxious and hurt by the invective surrounding them. As fellow minorities, the Tamil people feel the pain, the insecurity, the fear and the anxiety of our Muslim brothers and sisters. The relationship between the Tamils and Muslims has always been close – sometimes strained and to our perpetual shame, though very rarely, even violent and cruel – but always close. Our people are too closely intertwined for one to think that it can survive the fate of the other. We are connected to each other just as we are connected to the Sinhalese, the Malays and the Burghers; but the bonds of a common language and home cannot be broken easily. And so, when our Muslim brothers and sisters are harmed on the street; or attacked by mobs; or have their Mosques vandalized; we cannot unconcerned spectators.
Mr. Speaker, as Leader of the Tamil National Alliance, I demand that the violence against the Muslim people cease now. I demand an end to the repulsive hate speech that we hear every day. I demand an end to the collusion of the state in this campaign of hate. We are conscious that the vast majority of the Sinhalese Buddhist people do not condone such actions and that they would very much wish to live in peace and harmony paying due respect to the rights of other Peoples. As victims of the worst atrocities, we the Tamils have demanded that the country and the world heed our call for accountability, justice and the guarantee of non-recurrence. We wish to emphasize that the enforcement of law and order, and ensuring the safety and security of all Peoples including the Muslim People is primarily the responsibility of the State. Recent events have shown that the State has not discharged this responsibility in a manner beyond reproach.
We therefore call upon the government to refrain from acts of partisanship and discharge its constitutional duty be ensuring that equal protection of the law be afforded to all Peoples in this country including the Muslim People.

Gotabaya the prime suspect in Matale mass killings now begins his evidence killing operations –Orders destruction of police records

(Lanka-e-News -08.April.2013, 11.55PM) The present Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse the prime suspect in the Matale mass genocide , had ordered today that all police registers and records which are older than 5 years at the police stations in the Central province including Matale be destroyed. Lanka e news reported yesterday that he had also instructed the IGP that all reports linked to the court action regarding the Matale mass graves be forwarded to him. The objective in all these measures taken is to completely wipe out every information that links him to the mass murder though the orders are absolutely and brazenly unlawful. According to the police dept. rules and the supreme court (SC) new law reports these actions are totally illegal. Based on police department regulations , the records which are older than 5 years in connection with day to day information , crime information , traffic offences , civil cases and other information books can only be destroyed if court proceedings is not going to take place . Besides , they can only be destroyed in front of the relevant SSP .during his half yearly inspection. In any case , if information has to be secured from these books or records or registers subsequently regarding crimes or against an officer, those records cannot be destroyed under any circumstances , and no police officer has the power to destroy. This is clearly stipulated in the police regulations. In the NLR reports it is mentioned that the SC had given verdicts many times to that effect. Accordingly , while there is a case already in the courts regarding the Matale mass graves murders , and Gotabaya has been incriminated as being involved in the murders when he was Colonel Gotabaya at that time and the commanding officer in Matale ,and when these criminal details against him have come to light , destroying the records books and registers is absolutely illegal. Based on reports reaching Lanka e news , the police registers / records regarding the murders and missing persons in the period 1988 -89 , and the police books are still intact , because a commission was appointed previously to investigate them , and a large number of witnesses gave evidence. Some of them even filed cases in the SC. As a result those police books / registers are still intact . Gotabaya Rajapakse is already tainted with war crime charges and has therefore become notorious even internationally as a ruthless criminal. Hence, if the records and registers linked to his latest crime exposure - Matale mass murder are destroyed adhering to Gotabaya’s order today , it will be the Matale SSP R D S Medawatte and Central province Senior DIG M R B Ambanwala, will have to fully answer for those illegal activities later . The discovery of the skeletons of 154 dead persons does not relate to a simple crime by any stretch of imagination.. It must be noted that the whole world is watching this investigation not only for its hugeness in number but also for the brutality and callousness of the perpetrators. May it be warned that if any officer commits any wrongful or unlawful acts on Gota’s orders or of his own accord during the investigations, some day he would have to face the punishment via courts Locally or internationally.

முஸ்லீம்கள் பற்றிய சம்பந்தரின் அறிக்கை


இலங்கையில் முஸ்லிம்களுக்கு எதிரான வன்செயல்களும், வெறுப்பூட்டும் நடவடிக்கைகளும் உடனடியாக முடிவுக்குகொண்டுவரப்பட வேண்டும் என்று தமிழ் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பின் தலைவரான இரா. சம்பந்தர் அவர்கள் வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.

முஸ்லிம்கள் குறித்த விவகாரங்களில் பாரபட்சமாக நடப்பதை இலங்கை அரசாங்கம் நிறுத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர் காட்டமாகக் கூறியுள்ளார். முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் உட்பட அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் சமமான பாதுகாப்பை வழங்குவதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகளை அரசமைப்புச்சட்டத்தின்படி அரசாங்கம் உறுதிசெய்ய வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

முஸ்லிம்கள் தாக்கப்படும்போது தமிழர்கள் அக்கறையற்ற பார்வையாளர்களாக இருக்க முடியாது என்றும் அவர் எச்சரித்துள்ளார். இது குறித்து நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் அவர் ஆற்றிய உரையில் மேலும் கூறப்பட்டிருப்பதாவது.

முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் இந்நாட்டில் சரித்திர ரீதியாக வாழ்ந்து வருபவர்கள் மற்றும் நாட்டின் அபிவிருத்திக்காக மிகப்பெரும் பங்களிப்பை பல நூற்றாண்டுகளாக செய்துவந்துள்ளார்கள். அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கென தனித்துவமான பாரம்பரிய பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், உணவு மற்றும் உடைகளை கொண்டுள்ளார்கள் மற்றும் தங்கள் மதத்தின் மீது தெய்வ நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட பற்றாளர்கள். 8ஆம் நூற்றாண்டு முதல் 13 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டு வரை பரவியிருந்த இஸ்லாமிய பொற்காலத்தின் பண்பாடு சார்ந்த கொடையாளர்களாகிய இலங்கை முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் கலை மற்றும் இசை,மருத்துவம் மற்றும் சட்டம் மற்றும் விஞ்ஞானம், தொழில் முயற்சி கல்வி அறிவு மற்றும் இன்னோரன்ன துறைகளின் வளர்ச்சியில் உயர்நிலைளை அடைந்துள்ளார்கள்.

எவ்வாறாயினும் இன்று காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சி கொண்டவர்கள் முஸ்லிம் மக்களுக்கு எதிராக வன்மம் சார்ந்த கசப்பான பிரசாரத்தை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர்.கடந்த சில மாதங்களாக இடம்பெற்று வந்துள்ள கும்பல்களின் பல்வகையான வன்செயல்கள் பற்றி நான் மீண்டும் சொல்ல வேண்டிய தேவை இல்லை. பட்டப்பகலில் முன்பின் தெரியாதவர்களால் பழமை தழுவிய மத உடைகளை அணிந்த முஸ்லிம் பெண்கள் கெட்ட நோக்கத்துடன் துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.

இன்று முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் அச்சத்துடனும் அவமரியாதையான சூழலில் வாழ நிர்ப்பந்திக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். சக சிறுபான்மையினர் என்ற வகையில் தமிழ் மக்கள் முஸ்லிம் சகோதரர்கள் சகோதரிகள் ஆகியோரின் பாதுகாப்பற்ற தன்மை, அச்சம் மற்றும் பதற்றம் ஆகியன குறித்து வேதனை அடைந்துள்ளனர்.

தமிழ் மக்களினதும் முஸ்லிம்மக்களினதும் உறவு எப்போதும் மிகவும் நெருக்கமானதாக இருந்து வந்துள்ளது. சில சமயம் உறவு மிகவும் அரிதானக இருப்பினும் வன்செயல் மற்றும் குரூரத்தனம் காரணமாக வெட்கப்படக்கூடியதாக இருந்தது. என்றாலும் இரு தரப்பு உறவு மிகவும் நெருக்கமாகவே இருந்து வருகின்றது. மற்றவரின் விதியில் உயிர்பிழைக்கலாம் என்ற அடிப்படையில் எம் மக்கள் உறவு பின்னிப்பிணைந்துள்ளது.


சிங்களவர்கள், மலாய் மற்றும் பறங்கியர்கள் ஆகியோருடன் தொடர்பு வைத்திருப்பது போன்றே நாம் முஸ்லிம்மக்களுடன் தொடர்புகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளோம். பொது மொழி மற்றும் வாழ்விடம் ஆகியற்றின் இணைப்பை இலகுவாக துண்டிக்க முடியாது. ஆகவே எமது முஸ்லிம் சகோதரர்கள்,சகோதரிகள் வீதிகளில் துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டால், அல்லது குண்டர்களால் தாக்கப்பட்டால் அல்லது அவர்களின் பள்ளிவாசல்கள் தாக்கப்பட்டால் நாம் அக்கறையற்ற பார்வையாளர்களாக இருக்கமுடியாது.

தமிழ் தேசியக்கூட்டமைப்பின் தலைவர் என்ற முறையில் முஸ்லிம் மக்களுக்கு எதிரான வன்செயல் நிறுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்துகின்றோம். தினமும் நாம் கேட்கும் வெறுப்பூட்டுகின்ற அவதூறுப் பேச்சுக்களுக்கு முடிவு கட்ட வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்துகின்றோம். இந்த அவதூறுப் பிரசாரத்துக்கு அரசாங்கமும் ஒத்துழைப்பதற்கு முற்றுப்புள்ளி வைக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.


சிங்கள பௌத்த மக்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் இவ்வாறான அவதூறு நடவடிக்கைகளை மன்னிக்கமாட்டார்கள் என்பதை நாம் உணர்கின்றோம். அவர்கள் மற்றவர்களின் உரிமைகளுக்கு உரிய மதிப்பளித்து சமாதானமாகவும் இன ஒற்றுமையுடனும் வாழ்வதற்கே விரும்புகின்றார்கள்.


மிகமோசமான கொடூரச் செயல்களால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட தமிழர்களாகிய நாம் இந்த நாடும் உலகமும் பொறுப்புக்கூறும் தன்மை நீதி, உண்மையான நல்லிணக்கம் மற்றும் மீண்டும்
அநீதி இடம்பெறாது என்ற உத்தரவாதம் தரவேண்டும் என்று கோருகின்றோம்.

சட்டம் மற்றும் ஒழுங்கு நிலைநாட்டப்பட வேண்டும் மற்றும் முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் உட்பட அனைத்து மக்களின் பாதுகாப்பு உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் .இது அரசாங்கத்தின் அடிப்படைப்
பொறுப்பாகும் என்பதை நாம் அழுத்திக்கூற விரும்புகின்றோம். அண்மைக்கால சம்பவங்கள் அரசாங்கம் தனது பொறுப்பை சரியாக நிறைவேற்றவில்லை என்பதை உணர்த்துகின்றன.

பாரபட்சமாக நடந்து கொள்வதை அரசாங்கம் தவிர்த்துக் கொள்ளவேண்டும். அத்துடன், முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் உட்பட அனைத்து மக்களையும் சமமான பாதுகாப்பை வழங்குவதற்கு

ரெட் பானா முகாமில் கோட்டபாய செய்த கொலைகள்: சாட்சியாக மாறிய தாய் !

ரெட் பானா என்னும் சித்திரவதை முகாமில் 1989ம் ஆண்டு கோட்டபாய புரிந்த கொடூரங்கள் மெல்ல மெல்ல சிங்களவர்கள் வாயிலாக வெளிவர ஆரம்பித்துள்ளது. இம் முறை தமிழர்கள் எவரும் குற்றஞ்சாட்டவில்லை ! மாறாக சிங்களத் தாய் ஒருவர் தனது வாக்குமூலத்தை கண்ணீர் மல்க பதிவுசெய்துள்ளார். இச் செய்தியானது பல சிங்கள ஊடகங்களில் வெளியாகி அதிர்வலைகளைத் தோற்றுவித்துள்ளது. சமீபத்தில் மாத்தளை என்னும் இடத்தில் வைத்தியசாலை கட்ட அத்திவாரம் தோண்டும்வேளை அங்கே புதைகுழி ஒன்று கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது. அங்கே சுமார் 150 பேருடைய மனித எலும்புக்கூடுகள் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டதும் யாவரும் அறிந்ததே. அவை 1980 தொடக்கம் 1989 வரையான காலப்பகுதியில் அங்கே புதைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கலாம் என்று, சொல்லப்படுகிறது. இக் காலகட்டத்தில் கோட்டபாய ராஜபக்ஷ அப்பகுதியில் லெப்டினன் கேணலாக பதவிவகித்துள்ளார் என்பது, ஆதார பூர்வமாக நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது !

இந்தச் சிங்களத் தாய் கூறும் வாக்குமூலம் :

கணவனை இழந்த கமலாவதி என்னும் இத் தாய், புல்மோடயில் தனது 2 மகனுடன் வசித்து வந்துள்ளார். அக் காலப்பகுதியில் விடுதலைப் புலிகள் புல்மோடையில் உள்ள சிங்களவர்களை அங்கிருந்து சென்றுவிடுமாறு கூறியிருந்தார்கள். இதனால் இத் தாயார் தனது வீட்டைக் காலிசெய்து அந்த ஊரில் இருந்து வெளியேறி மாத்தளைக்கு வந்து குடியேறியுள்ளார். 1989ம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 13ம் திகதி, மாத்தளையில் உள்ள விஜய வித்தியாலய என்னும் பள்ளிக்கூடத்துக்கு அருகாமையில் இருந்த வீடுகளை, இராணுவம் சுற்றிவளைத்தது. அப்போது கமலாவதி தனது இரண்டு மகனுக்கும் மதிய உணவைக் கொடுத்துக்கொண்டு இருந்திருக்கிறார். வீட்டினுள் நுளைந்த இராணுவத்தினர், இச் சிங்கள இளைஞர்களை இருவரையும் பலவந்தமாக இழுத்துக்கொண்டு சென்றுள்ளார்கள். சுசந்த (18) மற்றும் நிஷந்த(17) ஆகிய இவ்விரு சிங்கள இளைஞர்களையும் இலங்கை இராணுவம் அருகில் உள்ள ரெஸ்ட் ஹவுஸ் முகாமுக்கு கொண்டுசென்றுள்ளார்கள். இராணுவத்தின் வாகனத்துக்கு பின்னால் கமலாவதி ஓடிச் சென்றுள்ளார். அவர்கள் குறிப்பிட்ட முகாமிற்குள் செவதனையும் அவர் நேரில் பார்த்துள்ளார். 

மீண்டும் மறுநாள் அவர் சென்று தனது மகன்கள் இருவரையும் பார்க்கவேண்டும் என்று காவலாளிகளிடம் மன்றாடியிருக்கிறார். ஆனால் அவர் முகாமுக்குள் செல்ல அனுமதிக்கப்படவில்லை. இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து அவர், உள்ளூர் அரசியல்வாதியான எக்கநாயக்கவை தொடர்புகொண்டுள்ளார்.(எக்கநாயக்க தற்போது ஆழும் கட்சி அமைச்சராக இருக்கிறார்) அவர் தனது செயலாளரை அந்த முகாமுக்கு அனுப்பி விசாரித்துவிட்டு, தான் லெப்டினன் கேணல் கோட்டபாயவுடன் பேசிவிட்டதாகவும் இனிச் சென்று நீங்கள் உங்கள் மகனை பார்க்கலாம் என்றும் கூறியுள்ளார். இதனை நம்பி கமலாவதியும் அம் முகாமுக்கு மீண்டும் சென்றுள்ளார். ஆனால் அவரைப் பார்க்க கோட்டபாய மறுத்துவிட்டார். இதனிடையே இலங்கை இராணுவமானது பெயர் பட்டியல் ஒன்றைக் காட்டி, உங்களது இரண்டு மகன்களும் வேறு முகாமுக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டுவிட்டதாகக் கூறி, இத் தாயாரை அங்கும் இங்குமாக அலையவைத்துள்ளார்கள். அப்படியே காலங்கள் ஓடிவிட்டது. வீட்டிற்க்கும் இராணுவ முகாமுக்குமாக அலைந்த அத்தாயார், இறுதியில் மனமுடைந்து முடங்கிப்போனார்.

1989ம் ஆண்டு காணமல் போன அந்த 2 சிங்கள மாணவர்களும் இதுவரை வீடு திரும்பவில்லை. அவர்கள் மாத்தளையில் வைத்தே காணமல் போனார்கள். அவர்களோடு சிறையில் இருந்த சிலர் விடுதலையாகி வெளியே வந்தார்கள். அவர்களை கமலாவதி விசாரித்தவேளை, தம்மை ரெஸ்ட் ஹவுஸ் முகாமில் வைத்திருந்தவேளை, உங்கள் மகன்மார் இருவரையும் ரெட் பானா சித்திரவதை முகாமுக்கு கொண்டுசென்றார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் இருவரும், தாம் தங்கியிருந்த முகாமுக்கு திரும்பி வரவில்லை என்று விடுதலையான இளைஞர் ஒருவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இவர்கள் சித்திரவதைக்கு உள்ளாக்கப்பட்டு கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டு பின்னர் அங்கே புதைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கலாம் என நம்பப்படுகிறது. இலங்கை இராணுவம் பிடித்துச் சென்ற இந்த 2 சிங்கள மாணவர்களின் உடல்களும் இந்த 150 எலும்புக்கூடுகளுக்குள் ஒன்றாக இருக்குமா என்ற ஏக்கம் தற்போது கமலாவதிக்கு வந்துள்ளது. டி.என்.ஏ பரிசோதனை நடந்தால் மாத்திரமே அவர்கள் இறந்துவிட்டதை உறுதிசெய்ய முடியும் என்ற நிலை தோன்றியுள்ளது. இலங்கையில் லட்சக் கணக்கான தமிழ் மக்கள் ஏக்கத்தோடு வாழும் நிலையில், உள்ளனர். இதுபோல சில சிங்களவர்களும் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது தான் ஆச்சரியம் கலந்த உண்மை நிலை ஆகும். 

1989ம் ஆண்டுக்குப் பின்னர் இலங்கை இராணுவத்தில் இருந்து விலகிய கோட்டபாய ராஜபக்ஷ பின்னர் அமெரிக்கா சென்றுவிட்டார். அங்கே கிரீன் காட்டை எடுத்துக்கொண்ட அவர், தனது சகோதரரான மகிந்தர் தீவிர அரசியலில் இறங்கிய பின்னரே இலங்கைக்கு திரும்பி வந்தார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்க விடையம். 1989ம் ஆண்டு தான் இராணுவத்தில் இருந்தவேளை எதை அவர் செய்தாரோ அதனையே அவர் 2009ல் அரங்கேற்றியுள்ளார் ! 

EXPERIENCE OF A TAMIL CHILD! 

“On a quiet day in August of 1977, the night mail train from Bandarawela was making its way to Colombo. On the winding journey to the capital the train routinely stopped atNawalapitya at around 1.00am to take in passengers. Breaking the still of the night were blood-curdling shouts from people embarking the train looking for Tamils. This was followed by screams from hundreds of people who were being pulled out on to the platform and beaten mercilessly. The train left the platform leaving behind some fathers and husbands whilst their families were released after being beaten and robbed. It was heartrending as children were torn from their fathers and some were moaning perhaps for the last time. The screams continued and they began to grow, mile after mile and station after station throughout the night as a bloodied train made its way to Colombo. My sister was 14 and I was 12yrs old and we were on that train. We understood nothing but numbing fear because we were Tamils. We survived the attack unscathed only because we had Sinhalese friends who enveloped us with their care and protection but above all prayer which saw the attackers mostly miss our carriage when they passed by. There were times when they boarded our carriage and flashed their torches right in our faces asking “themela the?” (are you a Tamil? ) Miraculously their lights blinded them from us being identified as Tamils.

Two months after this experience we saw ourselves seeking refuge in Jaffna.  Leaving my school S’ Thomas’ College and being torn from dear friends who were mostly Sinhalese added to my trauma. I could never understand this move until my father explained it many years later. Unknown to me and my sister we had carried the screams from the platforms of Nawalapitya to our home in Bambalapitya, waking up in the night screaming for help. As a father he could take no more and Jaffna became a justified move.What was planted in Nawalapitya was fear and we spent the next few years in Jaffna, in an environment where we sadly saw that the resentment towards the Singhalese. that eventually caused a war. A war that would last 30 years. 

BJP threat to establish Eelam in SL: Govt. should reassess foreign policy – UNP

The failure of the government to provide meaningful devolution to the North and East of the country, had resulted in India’s government in waiting, Bharatha Janatha Party (BJP), threatening to carve out Eelam for Sri Lankan Tamils, the UNP said yesterday.

Senior Vice President of the UNP Lakshman Kiriella, MP, told a news conference in Colombo that the BJP leader Yaswant Singh had said, in New Delhi on Thursday, that if the Rajapaksa regime continued to play games with the rights and lives of Sri Lankan Tamils his party would step in to establish Eelam for which the LTTE had fought a near three-decade-old war.

The BJP, unlike the ruling Congress Party, was an extremist Hindu organisation. Its threats should not be taken lightly, the MP said, adding that this was the first time that any mainstream Indian political party, either in government or opposition, had publicly pledged to establish Eelam.

Kiriella recalled that when he recently told External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris, in parliament that the country was heading towards a situation similar to what was prevalent in Sudan and East Timor, the Minister had replied that India would never support the division of Sri Lanka. But, tthe BJP’s threat proved that the situation had changed, he added.

Nearly four years after the LTTE had been defeated Sri Lanka should have been galloping towards economic prosperity as one united country. But the step-motherly treatment meted out to Tamils and religious minorities had resulted in mistrust and a fear psychosis in the country, Kirielle noted, observing that an urgent reassessment of Sri Lanka’s foreign policy was required, if the Rajapaksa regime did not want further strictures passed by the UN on the country for its failure to protect human rights and the rule of law.
